         Herbs, Oils, & More

Our ingredients are   WILD    and  often    untamed,  but what could be more natural than that?

Carefully  selected   and harvested  natural, organic  and  WildCrafted herbals  take away nothing from the environment and leave nothing behind, they are always earth and animal friendly!

Our products use full strength liquid herbal extracts with flower essences for emotional balance.     Like any food or plant some people may be sensitive or allergic to a particular ingridient.    There is alcohol in our herbal extracts because there is an enhanced potency with alochol.   If you prefer your herbal tinctures in Apple Cider Vinegar or water we can accomodate you, however their potency will be somewhat weaker.

Herbal Tincture dosages that we use:

The suggested use is three times a day, just squirt the amount desired into the mouth or mix with soft foods such as yogourt, cottage cheese or liquids.     Experiment to please you or your pooch.

Small: ( up to 14 lbs) 5 drops,  Medium: (15-34 lbs) 10 drops,    Large  (35-84 lbs) 15 drops

X-large (85 -125 lbs 20 drops, Giant (125+ lbs) 20 drops,  Horses or larger animals 30 drops

Child 2-15 drops,  Teen 15-30 drops, Adult 30-50 drops, Large Adult 50-60 drops

We use a variety of herbs, pure essential oils,  some fragrance oils  & botanicals depending on their particular properties.   Herbal usage originated from the ancient Chinese, Greek and Roman civilizations and were passed down through Elizabethan English to the earliest settlers in the New World.    Most plants historically categorized as herbs contain some substance in the root, leaf, bark or flower that at one time had been used, and continues to be used medicinally in most parts of the world.

Essential oils are the all-natural aromatic extracts from a variety of aromatic plant material including grasses, leaves, buds, seeds, roots, flowers, needles, twigs, peels of fruit and bark.    Essential oils are used in aromatherapy, are extremely concentrated, and very fragrant.

The methods used to extract pure essential oils are time consuming, expensive, and require a high degree of expertise.   It takes more than 220 pounds of rose petals to produce only 4 or 5 teaspoonfuls of rose essential oil.   Our Essential oils are 100% pure oils, using only natural plant essential oils unless indicated otherwise.   The specific oils selected are for their particul benefits or aroma.

Essential oils have an immediate impact on our sense of smell.  Only natural botanical essential oils can cause various neurochemicals to be released in the brain which can affect the body, mind and spirit.   Before we're consciously aware that we are in contact  with an aroma, Essential Oils reach the control centers in our brain.  Our subconscious receives the message and almost immediately reacts to it.

Floral Essential Oils are often calming or sensual.     Our Essential oil blends can help awaken your  creativity to experiement with the various oil properties and witness  the ebb and flow of your moods, emotions and circumstances.

Just a few drops  on you, or anyone around you can make an incredible difference in your reaction to your surroundings.    We use them as air freshners in the home, office, on pillows, carpets, on bedding, clothing, in diffusers, in the bath, in the kitchen.... and in the car.     You might be surprised to see that some of your furry friends prefer one scent over another and respond nicely to it by showing an indication for wanting to be near it or lining up for their coat spritz, while others will just crinkle their snouts at the thought of that aroma.....try another to find one that they will like or combine them.

Just a drop or two on their bedding makes for a tranquil night's sleep.    We carry a select line of the most popular Essential oils and will expand as demand warrants.   There are excellent Aromatherapy Recipe Books available to give you ideas on how to combine aromas

Please be patient with us, our primary objective is Rottweiler Rescue, our secondary goal is to generate income from THIS business to help support them.  Please keep that in mind when selecting your natural care products.  Our web page support/design falls at the bottom of all other lists and only after we sleep & eat!

Herbal Properties

This list represents many of the more common herbs with their recognized properties. Naturally we make no claims that anything or anyone can heal you..

Frequently natural plants and herbs work quicker, cost less and are more effective in balancing your body, however since natural things can't receive patents by pharmaceutical companies they lack profit potential. Pharmaceutical companies look for effective herbs, then isolate one of the chemical ingredients, synthesize it, patent it and make 10,000 % 30,000% +/- profit per capsule, at your expense.

The problem with synthesizing a plant and isolating just one component is that nature designed the plant with hundreds of components intended to work together. As an example, Garlic has 719 chemical properties, powerfully and synergistically working together. Pharmaceuticals & other “against life” (antibiotics) medications quickly suppress symptoms which isn't the same as curing. The holistic viewpoint believes that many symptoms need to run their course to help the body rid itself of toxins and that suppressing symptoms will push the dis-ease deeper only to re-emerge as something else at another time.

We're still trying to decide if mere arrogance or simple greed that would motivate a company to isolate just one of those chemicals, synthesize it, and market it as beneficial and to make, what we consider to be unconscionable profits. Wouldn't that be like taking ONE ingredient and trying to make a cake?
